Introduction |
Byron wrote that "Seville is a pleasant city famous for its oranges and women". It conjures up in the mind all that is
romantic, passionate and vibrant about Andalucía, with its beautiful orange tree lined plazas, stunning historical buildings
and narrow streets with white washed houses where señoritas were once serenaded by their novios on the balcony. The old
gypsy barrio is home to some of the great flamenco dynasties of Andalucía and you can be sure to catch a performance here.
There is a lot to see and do in Seville, from taking a river cruise along the Río Guadalquivir, to exploring
one of the largest
gothic cathedrals in the world with the tomb of Christopher Columbus inside and
the Moorish Minaret "La Giralda" towering above. Everything stops for siesta in Seville and it is
the perfect time to take a long, leisurely lunch in a shaded patio and try the delicious local wines and speciality dishes. |

| Many thanks for organizing a
wonderful trip to Spain for us. Both hotels were perfect - we especially
enjoyed the one in Seville. The processions were amazing and I think it is
great that this festival is maintained and so strongly followed. Many thanks
again for your help |

We were delighted with our trip to Andalucía, thank you
very much for all the guides, maps and advise, we will recommend you
anytime! We managed fantastic weather, the landscape was fantastic, we loved
the Spanish people, their food and drinks and the architecture was out of
this world when you love Islamic art as I do. So, thank you again! |

I should have written earlier to say we greatly enjoyed
our few days in Seville - not long enough but we did all the things we set
out to do and visited all the building and art galleries we had planned.
Thank you for all the arrangements you made on our behalf. We would like to
go again to see other parts and will be in touch later in the year. |
