Introduction |
Malaga is a beautiful city, overlooked by 90% of tourists that simply pass through it on their way to the Costa del
Sol. The old city centre is a haven of pure Spanish city life amidst one of the most cosmopolitan areas of the world. It was the birth place of Pablo Picasso and the long awaited museum in his birth town is now open and contains over 200 works of art that he either kept for himself or gave
to family. Below the museum is a fantastic display of the old Roman and Phoenician city wall that was uncovered whilst renovating the building. Other historical sites include the ancient Moorish fort built in the 8th Century, the 16th Century Cathedral which was never actually finished and
of course the bull ring which is still very much in use today. After all this history you will need to relax and nobody knows how to indulge in the finer things in life better than the Malageños. Fashionable bodegas line the narrow streets serving local specialities such as Serrano
ham and the sweet Málaga Dulce wine, and it really is here
in Malaga that you can get the best fried fish in the whole of Spain. Waiters
circle the tables with huge platters of boquerones, calamares and
pulpo and the characteristic smell from the beach promenade is of
skewered fresh sardines barbequing on the beach in a palm tree fringed
chiringuito. |

For the second time you organized a perfect tour for us!
We loved Ronda and the hotel was great. We had a good time there. The taxis
were an excellent way to travel and the trips relaxing |

| Having arrived back in London again,
both Robert and I want to thank you for having organised such a lovely
holiday. Everything was so well organised and worked like clockwork.
The hotel in Granada was like a dream, the one in
Seville so central, Cordoba also full or character and Malaga fantastically
comfortable, central and had a view out to the sea and the cathedral. The
flamenco concert and the meal in Cordoba were excellent. An extra memorable
event was witnessing some of the Semana Santa celebrations in Malaga. |

| Hi Nicola, Just thought I'd drop you
a note to say that we had a fabulous 6 days in Andalucía. The whole schedule
worked perfectly. Most impressed with the Alhambra.
Totally loved Seville. It rained constantly the day
we were in Cordoba which maybe affected our opinion of that city. What we
didn't expect was to be so impressed with Malaga. I had no idea it would be
so interesting and stylish in the central area. We loved all the hotels but
the Larios (Malaga) is very special. We are considering just taking cheap
flights to Malaga for weekend breaks at the Larios (who needs the tourist
Costa del Sol). |
