Introduction |
They say that if you only ever see one city in Spain in should be Granada. The writer Washington Irving was reminded of "Arabian
nights" by the beauty and magic of the enchanted Alhambra Palace and the whole Moorish air of the city. You can get wonderfully
lost in the maze of streets in the old Albaicin, catching fantastic glimpses up to the palace as you walk along the Río Darro.
The bazaars around the cathedral are as colourful as any in Morocco and in the majestic building of the
Capilla Real you can find the simple tombs of the Catholic Kings, Isabella & Fernando. Granada has a unique atmosphere within
Andalucía that stems from it being an independent Moorish kingdom for nearly 300 years after the rest of Spain and
been taken back by the Christians. Restaurants and tapas bars offer a delicious mix of
Spanish and Moroccan cuisine, and authentic flamenco can be enjoyed in bars owned by some of
Andalucía's top musicians. |

Our group of 6 had a great long weekend in Granada. We can't thank
you enough for
all your help with arrangements and the travel pack was excellent. Our hotel was delightful, in
an superb position with friendly and helpful staff. We visited one of your recommended restaurants twice
(the Carmen Verde la Luna) and friends we met up with there (one Spanish) were booking to return!
Great food and amazing view of the Alhambra.
We would thoroughly recommend your company to any of our friends travelling to
Andalucía. The personal touch makes such a difference and we wish you all success in the future. You deserve it!
A wonderful experience! |

Carol and I wanted to say how much we enjoyed the stay in
Granada. The weather was fabulous and it was getting warm enough at between
32 and 37 degrees!
We had five wonderful days and the hotel met our
expectations in every aspect - we did not want to come home!. The staff are
excellent and the atmosphere created is an absolute joy. We saw the Alhambra
at its best - this was my forth visit and Carol's first. I have an absolute
passion for the place and would go again tomorrow. Thanks again Nicola |
