About Lemon Valley Holidays

Lemon Valley Holidays was initially created out of a passion for Andalucía and to help the more curious traveller explore the cultural and rural areas of this beautiful and dramatic part of Spain. At the end of their holiday our clients feel like they had a more "authentic" experience, enhanced by perfectly located and welcoming hotels, meeting up with knowledgeable and friendly local guides and using our insider knowledge of the best places to visit to get a true taste of the "real" Andalucía.

We all know the joy of finding a gem of a family owned hotel tucked away in a side street or a cosy local restaurant where the food and the wine is beaten only by the charm and hospitality of the host; these are moments which create memories that will stay with you forever and Andalucía is full of them if you know where to look.

We work with small, intimate, privately owned hotels . Over the years we have built up an excellent reputation and working relationship with all of our trusted hotels and Lemon Valley clients are welcomed as expected guests. We do also work with large, luxurious hotels but choose those that have that focus on maintaining a feeling of intimacy and offer an equal level of personal attention as the smaller hotels.

Our in-depth local and specialized knowledge has proved invaluable to our clients who know they want to see what the guide books tell you and more, but also know that Andalucía is a vast and intricate province that requires careful planning to make your way around. There is heaps of information available but wading through it and finding exactly what you need can take months. We do not offer to our clients' every possible type of activity, guided tour or excursion that you could take in Andalucía, but again include in our holidays only those that we know are good, worthwhile and where the providers have shown us and our clients the care, service and professionalism that we all deserve and expect.

Travelling independently is becoming very popular as it fits more conveniently with people's busy lives and varied interests, and as one client recently said about an organized large group tour they had taken in the past "it seems like you are watching a movie of your holiday rather than actually being there yourself". Whether it be a few days in Seville, a visit to Granada and The Alhambra, a week in the Moorish cities or full blown tour of the whole area, we can ensure you don't waste any of your precious holiday time and help you to relax knowing that all the essential elements have been booked in advance and you are free to explore and get the most out of your stay. A comment that comes up time after time from our clients is that the arrangements of the holiday "worked like clockwork" – this is because we plan so carefully but also because we live and specialize in a relatively small area and know Andalucía like our back yard!

You will see on our web site that we now also offer holidays in Morocco and further North in Spain too. We do have plans to expand but are doing slowly . We understand that although it's great to offer more destinations we need to match the level of knowledge and personal contact s in each new area before we can guarantee the same level of service that we extend to our clients in Andalucía. We have been working hard and for a number of years now in Morocco, Barcelona and in and around Madrid and so are delighted that we can now include these areas in our new web site for 2011.

We are a small, family business that deals personally with each client and are available at any time for any queries or questions you have whether you are in the planning stages, are about to leave for your trip or when you are in here in Spain. We cater for all budgets and any length of trip - a holiday to Andalucía does not need to break the bank, especially when you steer clear of the tourist traps and know where to find the real value for your money.

Nicola - you should be walking around Malaga with wings and a halo! We have blessed our good fortune in having you as our travel agent so often that you must be sanctified by now! It was a wonderful holiday before the travel mess turned into a battle story that we will be telling our grand children, and I am telling anyone and everyone with even the slightest inclination to visit Andalucia to "book with Nicola". Thanks once again for saving our bacon wiht your prompt actions.

Lindsay and her sister's flight was cancelled on the 1st day of the 5 day closure of UK airspace due to the volcanic ash cloud. We managed very quickly to arrange their travel up through Spain & France by train before the real chaos unsued and they arrived home just the next day. LVH
