We have been fortunate to have travelled extensively throughout the world and Andalucia is 'up there with the best of the destinations'. Whether we visited cities, towns or white villages we loved them all as they had all been efficiently organized by Nicola. The scenery in the sierras was to die for and well worth driving through them. The little extras; the tours and shows were necessary and valuable to understand the destinations and culture of the area. The hotels were not only delightful but superbly located to appreciate the area; again due to Nicola's knowledge and her determination to please the discerning client. Driving in some of the villages can be described as an experience but with the detailed maps, sat nav and information provided it was made easier. We will be returning to Spain and Lemon Valley will be our first choice to travel with.

Hi Nicola, Its hard to believe it has been 2 weeks since we returned from Spain. I want to get this note off to you to let you know we have a wonderful time.
1. The Hotels – All the hotels were perfect. I was under the impression that you do not normally book hotels in Extremadura. Let me assure you that the hotels you picked in these cities were up to your excellent standard as evidence by your choices in Seville, Cordoba and Granada.
2. The Hotel Locations – Again, perfect. We could easily walk everywhere we wanted to go. All the hotels were in interesting neighborhoods, close to the things we wanted to see. All also had restaurants and tapas bars very close by.
3. The Tours – You booked us on 3 tours:
The tapas tour in Madrid with James was a lot of fun and a good introduction
to Spanish eating and drinking (oh yes, and the history of Madrid). James did
an excellent job.
The Seville tour with Concepcion gave us a real feel for the city and its history. Again a lot of fun and we really appreciated Concepcion working for us on a holiday. The Granada tour with Rosa was also very good, but as the groups was much larger and divided into 2 (English and Spanish) it was harder for us.
4. The Trains – Trains in Spain are 2 levels above any trains we have in Ontario. Even the local train from Merida to Seville was great. The trains are so clean and fast.
5. Your printed book – This item really helped to get us started in each city.
6. Your maps – We used your maps everywhere, the maps in the hotels and at the tourist places just were not up to the standard of yours. I did get lost once or twice but I cant blame the map only the map reader.
Summary: We had a great time – Thanks!

This is to thank you very much again for all the care and attention you put into organising our recent holiday which I must say surpassed our wildest expectations! We knew we would love Andalucia and the superb weather helped, but we really appreciated all your wonderful extra touches.

The tours of Granada and Seville were excellent value. Conception was lovely! These should be compulsory as we were able to orient ourselves, locate the sights, and more importantly learn of the culture and history in a way that guide books don’t convey.
The Tapas Tour was fantastic fun; we had a great evening, felt at the end we really understood tapas, and tasted iced sherry, some excellent wines. Roger was an excellent source of local knowledge and equally happy to discuss politics and history. We learned a lot about the essence of Andalucia in an extremely pleasant manner.
The relaxing Turkish bath was perfectly timed. We had rather overdone the walking and seen two ruined baths – so we greatly enjoyed the massage in preparation for the next day’s sightseeing.
The Flamenco show was also very well chosen. Friends of ours (one of whom is a dancer) warned us of poor flamenco shows, and we were very well impressed with the quality of the show, the liveliness of the participants and the variety of the dancing. I only wish I understood more of the songs!
The hotels you chose were exactly the sort we like – central and comfortably quirky!

Our travels in Andalucia were wonderful. We have the most marvellous travel tales and memories. Food, people, countryside and history made it all an inspiring holiday.
Your guidance in creating our trip as a combination of staying in small villages and also experiencing a self guided walking tour out from Grazelama made for perfect variation and interest.
It was only with your regional knowledge and experience that these perfect villages were selected, wonderful accommodation pre-booked and even which direction to travel.
The Ronda accommodation - San Gabriel was so beautiful and ideally located. We saw the Good Friday evening procession and we all thought seeing this in a smaller village was terrific - earlier we had considered Seville - l am glad we didn't
The Hotel Pennon at Grazelema we also enjoyed, mainly because the owner was wonderful - what hotel manager/owner stands outside to wave you off - a lovely lady!
Granada!!! And of course Hotel Isabel!!! Both were a fabulous surprise in every way. The staff/family at Hotel Isabel were friendly and very helpful - also perfect location.
The Pre-paid tickets to the Alhambra also worked well, and of course the Alhambra was everything we dreamed and more - of course wished we had an extra day to spend there

I wanted to thank you for the great arrangements for our fantastic trip.
The hotel at Vejer de la Frontera was a place we could have spent many days hanging out on their patio and reading books. I’m thinking we may book a future trip there through you to simply relax, sleep and read!
We ended up going south from Granada and spent a lovely day driving along the coast; we went to the caves at Verjas, then the Balcon de Europa. We turned north at Marbella and drove to Ronda on the twisty road, enjoying the spectacular views. The next day, we drove south from Ronda, returning back to the sea and REALLY enjoyed the white villages and views capes we drove through.
We drove past Gibraltar and around past Cadiz to get to Vejer de la Fronterra. We REALLY enjoyed the views from high on the cape, looking at two oceans and two continents! I would definitely recommend those routes again.
The hotel in Madrid was great and the tour guide there (Julia) was fabulous!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed Spain and look forward to many future trips. I appreciate all your help with the planning and will definitely recommend your services to friends who may plan trips to Spain in the future.

I returned home to Australia just a couple of weeks ago after a very relaxing holiday in both France and Italy and, thanks to you, a really exciting tour of Seville, Cordoba and Granada.
Everything went so well from first arriving in Seville and booking in at the hotel and finding the package as promised full of all our documentation and information.
The hotels you chose for us in each city were one better than the other; Santa Isabel la Real in Granada was a true jewel and the family all delightful and helpful. We sat over the record of the renovation with one of the family, Elena, and heard all the very interesting details and looked at many photographs. Congratulations Nicola on finding such a beautiful place.
We took up the booking in Cordoba for a Flamenco performance and were thrilled with its variety and vitality; the evening was very relaxed in a comfortable venue and the drink most appreciated. In Cordoba I also used the Moorish Baths and floated out afterwards and enjoyed the benefit for hours afterwards.
The walking tours in both Seville and Granada were very informative and the guides very professional, spoke excellent English, and both were very sympathetic.
Throughout we found the travel very user friendly and were completely astonished at the olive groves we saw from the train window which just seemed to go on forever up hills and across immense valleys. I had not been to the south of Spain and was truly fascinated by everything I saw and very attracted to the warmth of the people and really appreciative of the great service extended by those in tourist areas including restaurants. We immensely enjoyed the tapas and think we managed to try a good number of those offering.
Thanks so much again Nicola, I have spoken widely of your tour and how impressed we were with it and how it suited the way we wanted to move around. If I journey again to Spain I will be in touch.

Just a note to say thank you for our trip. The organization and detailed notes and maps were exceptional and of course we get to keep them as memorabilia of our trip.
We loved all the little, very centralized boutique hotels and the personalized tours that you organized for us. The walking tours certainly gave us greater appreciation of the cities and James Fraser’s Adventurous Appetites Tapas Tour in Madrid gave us valuable insights into the tapas scene. We also took bike tours of Barcelona and Madrid which were a lot of fun and allowed us to range further afield.
We loved the fast trains and would recommend them to anyone travelling through Spain or other parts of Europe that are fortunate to have them. Although the cost is probably not a lot cheaper than flying, money is saved by not having to get a taxi to and from the airport and considerable time is saved by not having to book in as early as flights require, plus the trains terminate fairly close to city centres.
Lastly, a special thank you for looking after my sister Angela, allowing us to share valuable time together.

What can I (and my friend Yvonne) say except a great big THANK YOU for everything you have done to make a dream holiday come true. Everything was so well organised and so well thought out that everything went without a hitch.
The bus time, the train times, the wonderful hotels which we would never have experienced without your knowledge, the guided tours, and even the weather was perfect apart from one morning in Seville when there was a heavy downpour.
We met some lovely characters (especially in a Seville market!!) and found the Spanish people friendly and helpful. I was glad though I had taken the trouble to learn a few phrases of Spanish which did help.
We especially liked the hotel in Granada (Casa del Capitel Nazari) because of its age and history and also a lovely breakfast. We tried the traditional Spanish food and enjoyed it.
The Alhambra was amazing and we spent six hours there looking round and trying to take it all in. Thank you for booking those tickets also.
We both loved Seville and there are some super shops there. The Cathedral at Cordoba was another amazing place and in all the lovely places we visited we had the time to spend and take things in - something it is difficult to do on a package holiday.
I also enjoyed looking out at the Spanish countryside on our train journeys. We have thoroughly enjoyed it and have gained more confidence in ourselves for travelling places.
It is a holiday which will remain in our memories as an outstandingly good one.
